Hi Kristin!

I have not – not to any great depth – but I'd *love* to know more. Years ago I was on an ancestry website, and poking around the Starkville chats. I saw an African-American woman asking if anyone had any information about Murray Maxwell, who was the son of the Murray I write about here, and a sherriff. She said something about him having many illegitimate children with Black women. I reached out to the woman, but her comment had been made years before and I never got a response.

So, not only does my family have a hidden history, I think I have a hidden family, and I think I can infer that you might be one of them! If so, I can't tell you how gratified and moved I am to hear from you.
